The Walking Dead: Laura star drops huge bombshell most death scene 'It wasn't scripted!'

THE WALKING Dead said goodbye to another series stalwart in season 10 every bit Laura roughshod victim to the murderous Beta in Alexandria. However, actor Lindsley Register has now revealed the TWD graphic symbol'southward decease didn't exactly go down as planned.

Ever since she joined the group at Alexandria following the defeat of the Saviours, Laura (played past Lindsley Register) had proven herself to be an integral part of the community. So much and so, The Walking Dead fans had certainly warmed to Laura over her 20 appearances on AMC, watching her redemption arc take her from a murderous and brainwashed member of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) army to a primal part of the Militia. Therefore, her death at the hands of Beta (Ryan Hurst) was always going to exist tough to take.

Laura's expiry came in flavor 10, episode 10, titled Stalker after Beta had infiltrated Alexandria and killed those in his path.

While the AMC horror is no stranger to killing off recognisable characters, several The Walking Dead fans were rather disappointed with Laura's death, feeling it wasn't worthy of a character who had appeared in nearly two dozen episodes.

Beta killed Laura by throwing her confronting the walls of the Alexandria cell, breaking her neck in the process.

Laura's concluding scene not only left TWD fans wondering if she was actually dead thanks to its ambiguity only information technology also left actor Lindsley admitting it "tough" to see her character bow out in such a mode.

Lindsley took to Twitter following the episode and tweeted to her fans: "Cheers for sending dearest. It's tough closing this chapter."

While the nature of her demise may have disheartened Lindsley, she revealed to the Independent her send-off wasn't really in the script.

In fact, by the sounds of it, Laura actually got a lot more screen fourth dimension than intended for her swan song.

The TWD star diplomatically began: "I was thrilled to die fighting one of the scariest villains we've had on the show then far,"

She continued: "I will say this: it wasn't scripted for us to have such a tussle when we showed up on the day.

"Ryan really insisted. He was like, 'Laura needs to fight dorsum – he needs to jump on my back.' So we added more to it."

So without the man behind Beta pleading for Laura to prove some grit, it looks like her death would've been even more sharp.

Lindsley also told the publication how the expiry scene was initially drafted in the script.

In standard Walking Dead, violent fashion, Lindsley revealed: "It said that Beta reaches and picks Laura up like a hacksaw and swings her around then her head bounces off each cell bar."

Laura'south arc saw her transform from a trusted retainer to Negan and the Saviours to a smart, fierce and devoted fighter for Alexandria and the surviving community.

And while her graphic symbol's development captivated TWD viewers, Lindsley admitted she'd take liked "more" from Laura.

She said: "Obviously I wanted more for Laura – I would have loved to see more than – simply I know that when she moved to Alexandria, she did go more of a secondary character,"

Lindsley continued: "I'grand a big laic in not lingering on what I can't command, and then I just showed up and gave it my all."

In that location was likewise on face-off Lindsley wished fans had got to see on-screen.

"I did expect at some point for us [Laura and Negan] to brand contact," she said.

Lindsley added: "Because what a charged moment that could have been – seeing Negan face to face with one of his former lieutenants, I am disappointed we won't get to see that."
